I have a P2 system running WinXp pro that beeps a warning of high
temperature on hot days. Both the power supply and cpu fan are working
and the problem goes away if I remove the computer cover and leave it
I notice a bios setting in the "Chipset Features setup" of 70c/158F or
75c/167F. The current setting is the lower 70/158.
Would it be a good idea to change the bios setting to the higher range
to possibly cure the problem?
