Hello,
I am a proud owner of an astrology report service site:
www.astrologylogicreports.com.
However, I am thinking of changing the name of it to
www.astrologyreportstoday.com.
What do you guys think of this in terms of marketing advantage and
seo rankings? Also, I have read that when your domain name is
hyphenated in form: your-website.com, it picks up better than
yourwebsite.com. Is this true?

Thanks guys,
Jing

I wouldn't bother personally. You'd have to 301 redirect it to the new
domain and it would quite possibly lose some Page Rank and maybe
rankings for a time. Not permamnently but for a time. Not definitely
either but possibly. And when it was all done, you'd have a slightly
snappier domain, a little more memorable for some I'd imagine, but
this smacks of faffing around for no good reason. If you want to make
better use of your time, add a few pages of good content. That'd do
you more good all round.

The advantage of keyword-keyword.com is that when people link to you
using that form, as many will, you'll get some link juice which you
won't get (despite what Bret says) if people link to you using
keywordkeyword.com. That's it. Not the biggest of deals. You do need
to be able to get both domains and forward one to the other.

Hi,
My site was started only a week ago and I don't have many visitors. I
am number 1 in SERP for "astrology logic, astrologylogic reports, and
astrologylogicreports, but not for the keywords that I want. God knows
where I am in the search for "astrology report"(main keyword for me),
I've checked to the 54th page on Google but not listed.

Thanks for replying,
Jing

Might probably as well start over then, you won't have lost anything
because you have nothing to lose.

OK I've made the decision to rebrand to www.astrologyreportstoday.com
offline and have it redirect to
www.astrology-reports-today.com. Is this the way to go?
