is there any way to easily setup an IP ACL on windows server 2003 ? what is
recommended ?
all I want is to have only a certain range of ip addresses to be able to
connect to the server and vise versa. I don't care for protocol or port for
the moment ...

If you are talking about file and printer sharing, the easiest way is with
the SP1 firewall. You can restrict the scope of the allowed connections by
individual IPs or a range of IPs.

ok !

I actually just wanted to limit the IP addresses to a the accounting range
of IPs for our accoutning servers till we implement a more professional
solution.
I haven't installed SP1 since our servers are on vmware gsx and I need to
upgrade
GSX before I put SP1: long .... process.... painfull... many servers....
