My HP laptop came with Media Center installed. The laptop has two drives
(C: and D:). The default is for Recorded TV to be on the C: drive.

I would like to move the currently recorded TV programs to the almost empyt
D: drive and have any additional programs stored there. Is this possible?
If so how?

Thanks in Advance, Jesse

I fear not.

My stuff defaults to PUBLIC>RECORDED TV on Vista Home Premium. (Took me
forever to find the files)

You have XP Media Edition? Where it is there?

To change the location of recorded TV, in media center go to
Task/Settings/TV/Recorder
there you will find an option to change the storage location for recorded
TV.
To move existing recording on MCE2005 look under
"C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents" there you will see a
recorded TV
folder, simply copy the files you find there to the new recorded TV
location.

<<To change the location of recorded TV, in media center go to
Task/Settings/TV/Recorder

That may be true in XP Media Center Edition, but not in my Vista Home
Premium. All I get is a choice of HDs. And it puts stuff in the
PUBLIC>RECORDED TV. No way that I can see to change it

I am using Vista and changing the recorded location it is the same as
MCE2005.

Task/Settings/TV/Recorder/Recorder Storage

There you will see the storage location on drive C, press the + button at
the
site and other local drives can be selected. As you can only have one
storage location active at any one time, changing the drive changes the
storage location.
