When I try to use my computer the screen slowly fades to black and won't come
back on. Any suggestions out there?

Interesting...could be any number of reasons. Can you tell us further
details about the problem, such as when exactly does this fade occur (i.e.,
after logon, later, when you run a specific app, etc), which OS you have,
which video card and version of driver software, etc. We primarily support
Media Center Edition here, so if you're running XP you might want to repost
in the microsoft.public.windowsxp newsgroup.
