Today a guy asked me if the screen of my laptop is mirror screen? I do
not understand this term: what "mirror screen" is?

Thanks

The term he might have meant is 'reflective'. Screens like the
Ultra-brite on my dv8100cto are reflective and the glare from a strong
incandescent light staged behind me can be very distracting.

The more technically correct terminology would be glossy instead of
mirror screen. Worse different manufactures call them different things.

His terminology is not correct, but he probably means the glossy screens
that have become popular (along with "wide screen") in the past 2 years
or so.

They may be popular with the manufacturers. AFAICT thay are far from
popular with the users.
