not sure if this is the right forum, but here goes:

i had a button on my task bar that i could click and minimize all the open
windows. This was great because i use a program to hide the desktop icons
and when all of the windows were minimized using this button, the icons
would show up also. All of a sudden the button is gone and won't come back
even after rebooting. any idea how to get it back? tia.

Not really a Media Center specific question, probably better posted on a
general forum (not sure which, since you didn't say what OS you have).

None the less, are the rest of the "Quick Launch" buttons (like IE or Media
Player) showing on the toolbar? If not, try right-clicking on the toolbar,
choosing "Toolbars", and "Quick Launch" and see if they reappear.

Yes, all of the other buttons are still there, tried deleting and redoing
the quick launch and didn't help. Thanks for trying. I will try posting in
another group. I am using XP media center so I thought I'd try here first
and didn't want to x-post. Thanks again.

Sorry, didn't realize Jason had already posted a link to the fix on Doug's
page.
