Seems that myself and a growing number of others are getting concerned that
thier TV lisitngs for MCE have not Seemed to have updated since 17-18 August
and do not extend any further than 31 August.

I dont know if this extends to all MCE users but does seems to affect MCE
2005 and Vista users.

RE: MCE Update TV Listing Problems

This has been affecting me as well.  The problem is clearly on Microsoft's
end as I have tried listings for multiple states and it still only goes out
to 8/31.  Please get this fixed asap.

I am having this exact issue as well.  I live in MN with Digital Cable.  I am
running Vista with SP1

You should probably go to MS and point this out, posting it on a public
newsgroup isn't the fastest way to alert MS.

Whats interesting is that I have installed TvPack, and I am affected
by this too.  Vista TvPack gets it's guide material from a different
source than regular Vista.

I just did a new, clean install today for a friend and it stops at
8/31 too.

I am having the exact same issue.  How can we get this resolved? After the
31st, my DVR becomes useless.

Re: MCE Update TV Listing Problems

Just a suggestion, but rather than everyone posting "me toos" why doesn't
someone contact Microsoft tech support with the problem and post back with
the fix?

The official route as Microsoft now owns TheGreenButton forum seems to be to
report the problem there in the "MCE Service & Data Quality Issues" sub-forum
where a real person from Microsoft will respond.
http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/90/ShowForum.aspx

The "No guide data after 31st August" problem  is a known issue at the server
end & will be fixed in the next 24 hours

I suspect Zap2it is 'holding back' as there is likely many changes to the
schedule starting in September as the fall lineup starts to come out.

I'm not sure I agree...
I've been having the same problem (I live in Canada and a subscriber to Bell
Expressvu).  If I use Bell's online program guide, it goes out 13/14 days.
When I login in to Zap2it, it also goes out  13/14 days.

However, when i log into tv.msn.com, it only has until the end of August.

Granted, it's possible that zap2it is not sending updates to Microsoft, but
it seems more likely, based on the greenbutton forum
(http://thegreenbutton.com/forums/thread/288069.aspx ), that it's a problem
on Microsoft's end, especially since 3+ services are affected (Vista MC, XP
MC and tv.msn.com)

I guess we'll just have to wait and see what Microsoft has to say on the
matter...

Don't blame Zap2it. It's not just the US but a worldwide problem where other
data providers are used.

Looks like Microsoft has resolved the issue...

I've done a manual update, and everything looks A-OK.
