Re: MCE 2005 REMOTE CONTROL PROBLEMS

I had a similar problem, and I read online that if you leave the
batteries out for 30-60 minutes, the capacitors lose their charge, and
you can put in a fresh set of batteries. Worked for me!

Re: MCE 2005 REMOTE CONTROL PROBLEMS

This trick with the batteries worked for me, but soon after the remote
went bad again.  The lights light up, I see the receiver get the
message, but some buttons won't work.  I do the battery thing and it
does work, but then it acts up again.  Is there a better solution?

Re: MCE 2005 REMOTE CONTROL PROBLEMS

Take a paperclip and short the battery terminals on the remote (after you remove
the batteries, of course).
