Hello,

Whenever i start live tv i get a message "Video Error, Files needed to
display video are not installed or not working correctly. Pleaase restart
media center and/or the computer." before it used to say that my tuner was
in use by another application, when i know that it wasnt. could norton or
something do this? this just started unexpectedly. the comp is 4 days old
with no software on it.

Did you try to go through Media Center Setup again?

Did you build the computer, or buy it?  If you bought it, was it a "name brand",
or put together by a local shop/tech?

Download the DVD Decoder Checkup utility, from the link above and run it.  If
you're using the NVidia decoder, you might have the trial version.
