I've just installed a new game (Oblivion) onto my computer and there ave
been some doubtous circumstances around that; around the same time my
computer was running horrendously(sp?) slow (though this is unrelated, it
started before the game was put on); shortly after this the game was
uninstalled and re-installed, and all the time the computer was seemingly ok.
Around this time I started the computer and it came up with a screen asking
me to choose an account, admin or Conrad (admin had not previously existed)
but I thought nothing of it. Within 24 hours I had turned off the computer
and was trying to restart it when, for the first time ever, it came up with a
login screen, afterpassing this the compter started to startup but before any
icons or the start menu appeared I recived and error:
explorer.EXE - Application Error
The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0150002). Click on OK to
terminate the application.
After clicking OK (only option) the screen remained with my backround up and
nothing else. I have tryed doing a windows repair but it asked for the admin
password, which I don't have because I am not the admin.
If you have heard of this problem before or have any ideas what is going on
your helpwould be very appreciated.
