it doesn't expire at a time of the day, it is *declared* as expired
*when* you try and use it at a date that's beyond the limit,
though... (2b cont.)
in some way, as that limit is computed "by day" units (epoch - limit)
you may say the expiration date *could* be seen as 00:00:00.000000
of first day over the edge (check 'chage -l user' )
