iptables ttl incrementation & dc++ problems

due to my isp fiddling with ttl values so that no routers are attached
to the line, i have used the following iptables rule:

iptables -t mangle -A PREROUTING -i ppp0 -j TTL --ttl-inc 1

this solves the issue for http, but dc++ still doesn't run. can anybody

Maybe your ISP has some other scheme in place to block DC++. You could
try sniffing for DC++ packets on the router to see if they reach it at all.

May I strongly suggest switching your ISP to someone sane? Make them
understand that when you talk about internet access you mean the real
thing, not some crippled kindergarden version.
