Default setting for POP3 setup is to remove from the server. If your
server supports IMAP also you can set up the Blackjack to do IMAP and
all mail will be kept on the server.

Unless something significant has changed in WinMo recently, the messaging
app always leaves POP3 e-mail on the server. (At least prior to WM5- I
haven't used POP in years...)

There wasn't even an option to remove e-mail from the server (which used
to generate complaints on these NGs, in fact!)

The idea was that if the mobile device removed itemsfrom the server, your
desktop, which was probably your "archival" machine, would never see
those e-mails.

Agreed. IMAP is a much better solution when dealing with a single e-mail
account on multiple devices, mobile or not.
