Hi there,

I have this curious problem with my Centrino laptop: whenever I move
the mouse or it reads from the hard disk, I hear these zipper noises
coming through the audio output. It's very soft, but it is there...
and it happens  both with the built-in AC97 sound card and my Edriol
UA-5 ESB card.

I searched for IRQ conflicts, but didn't find any. It also there
with or without the power supply plugged in.

Does anyone have any in which direction I should search? Any input
is welcome!

What brand and model laptop?  What are the other peripherals
installed/connected and what kind of mouse is installed?

Is this a recent development or did it happen when new out of the box?

Check that the microphone (if there is one) is muted.

Check your audio settings. Open the volume control panel and check
which devices are muted and not. Mute them all, then enable them one
by one. Take care you enabled the volume control panel to show _all_
devices. See if it solves the problem.
