I uninstalled windows media player 10 (windows component) from regedit,
and my laptop doesnt log into windows anymore (it gives me a problem
with ntfs.ys) I tried recovery CDs but to no avail.
I also tried to copy another ntfs.sys file from my desktop computer
onto the directory (system32/drivers) but didnt work.
Wat can I do? I have important data on it.
p.s.: using Knoppix (which is somehow not detecting my USB disk), I can
see the data and everything is Ok,except windows won't start.
p.p.s.: windows CD repair is not working either.
Re: Windows Media Player 10
Huh? What happened when you tried? If they didn't work you likely
have a dying drive.
If you have data on it, get a 2.5-3.5 adapter, plop the laptop drive
in your desktop in place of the cd-roms and get hte data off.
