found there are many processors rated at the same 2.0 GHz; eg. T5750,
T5800, T7250, P7350). What are the major differences? Is it safe to
say that higher numbers are better and faster? What is the difference
between T, P etc. designations? What is the speed difference between
Dual 2 Core vs Dual Core, and AMD's processors? Should I definitely
stick with Dual 2 Core if I plan to do more graphics (Photoshop, etc),
video, and web development?
Thanks for the suggestions,
Re: What are the differences among these processors of the same speed?
When my son needed a laptop i did some online researching on this. I
found the chart at
very useful. To answer part of your question
T5750=3D .065 micron 667 bus speed 2048 chache size
T7250=3D .065 micron 800 bus speed 2048 chache size
P7350=3D .045 micron 1066 bus speed 3072 chache size
The .045 micron meant to me the processor uses less power hence longer
battery life, so we bought the T9500.
His laptop with the T9500 2.6GHz (Core 2 Duo) 4 gig of ram with
Windows Vista Ultimate makes my desktop with Windows XP, a 3GHz
pentium, 2 gig of ram, look slow.
