I have a Sony Vaio laptop about three years old.  It has been working
on a off for about a year now.  I know what the problem is.  The
controller the hard drive plugs into, which is soldered onto the main
board has come loose.  I need someone to solder it back.  Local SMT
soldering guys in my area charge the cost of a new computer.  I read a
post on Google where a guy said that he can do it for a few hundred
dollars and that he as repaired many Vaios that have the same problem.
I can't find that post now.  Does anybody know who can solder the
little 'legs' of the controller back to the board?  I have a full
service manual with schematics, break down diagrams, the whole works.
I don't have enough experience with soldering to do it myself.  Please
respond to

These folks: /

have apparently been doing many repairs on the Vaio memory problem.
They might be able to fix this.  There's an email address on the site.
