Barry is right. Yes. It is definitely possible to replace the USB connector(s)
on a notebook. I've replaced one on a Dell CPt. I got it from an old Compaq
laptop. The job does however require one to have decent skill using the
Soldering Iron. If you coudl find a replacement part and don't have problem
taking the laptop apart, you coudl bring it to your local TV/Electronic repair
shops and see if they will do it for you cheaply. One thing you have to remember
is that most shops have minimum (or called bench fee).
