right direction of things I need to know ....
I'm taking myself and my business to South Africa for 12 weeks. I live
in the UK, I have bought myself an Acer TravelMate 4020, with dialup,
broadband and wireless connections.
I shall be staying with family with access to dialup only.
My questions are
will my modem work?
will my power supply be compatible?
what do i need to do to be able to use wireless if I go to an internet
cafe or such type of location
Thanks for replying.
Re: travel uk to South africa
Your modem will work OK.
I was there earlier this year and used my GPRS mobile for internet access It
is incredibly cheap out there. Buy an MTN simcard at the airport (costs 3
rand with 10 rand credit!) and ask them to enable GPRS on it.
Go to http://www.mtn.co.za/default.aspx?pid=11500 for info on MTNDataLive
