media edition. The computer will run on batteries alone.
Up until fairly recently I was able to set options for the battery by
settings in Power options in Control Panel. That has now disappeared.
In addition the power icon in the system tray shows AC even if the
computer is running on batteries alone.
Third party battery managers indicate that they are unable to find the
Toshiba did not supply the XP CD's, only a Recovery and
Applications/Driver DVD. None of the drivers on the DVD have anything
to do with this problem.
Toshiba customer support has not been able to solve the problem as yet.
Any help would be appreciated.
