I'm trying to install a wireless card in my Tecra 510CDT. The card in
question is a D-Link DWL-G650 Revision B5. Anyway, I installed the
drivers just fine. I turned off the pc, put the card in, and powered
back up. Once I got to Windows 98, it did the found new hardware
thing, and I pointed it to the driver. It told me to restart. Here's
where the problem starts. When turning on my pc, I see the bios
screen, then I see Windows 98 Startup, then I see something i've never
seen before, It says "Panning Support Driver V2.1" And below that is a
C:> and below that is the underscore blinking. I could leave it here
for days with no results. Without the card in Windows boots fine, but
if I insert it in windows the system locks and I need a reboot. I know
the system in question is older, but any help would be greatly
appreciated. On a side note, even though it is an older system, it
does support 32 bit cardbus. Thanks!

Re: Toshiba Tecra 510CDT Lock Up

The panning support driver is a video driver.  This might be new (it
might have changed or reinstalled the video driver) or you might simply
have not noticed it before.

Other than that I don't know what's going on, but frankly in my view
this machine is too old to screw with. wrote:
