I've a question what could be wrong? I bought a additional memory:
Kingston KTT3110/64 - 64 MB. There is said that is compatibile with
this laptop : http://www.memoryx.net/pa2069u.html
But after insert it to the slot when computer starts there is text on
"Please remove incompatibile memory card from the slot".
Re: Toshiba Portege 3410CT memory problem
Sound pretty self-explanatory. Something about the new memory makes it
incompatible. I dug around on Crucial.com, Kingston.com and Toshiba.com
(which doesn't even have any reference for a Portege 3410CT, oddly enough),
and all I could come up with was the Kingston part number that is supposed
to be compatible with your system, which, of course, they've discontinued.
You might try searching the community forums at Toshiba.com or
One other thing, it's possible that some memory setting in the BIOS could be
required for the after-market memory to work. Can you get into the BIOS, and
have you tried poking around there?
