Taskbar time display

I'm having a problem with the time display in the taskbar.  I'm using
Windows XP and the time display on the taskbar is showing the 24-hour
format.  When I bring up the time properties it shows everything in
the 12-hour format which is what I prefer.  Only the taskbar shows the
24-hour format.  I went to the Control Panel to check the regional
settings and it is as it should be for the 12-hour format.
Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Changes to the time format in the task bar do not take effect until you
actually close the regional setting window and only change if you actually
change something.  If the format does not match what is selected, then
change it (say to 24 hour) close the widow completely and then re-open it
and change it to what you want.  Close it again and it should now match.

For complete control over your Taskbar clock, Google for a program
called "TClockEx."
