When I select the power scheme "Home/Office Desk"
the standby work.
When I select the power scheme "Portable/Laptop"
the notebook won't resume from standby.
When I press the button to resume, it just start the
hard disk but everything else is dead.
What do you think about this?
Yes... I can leave the "Home/Office Desk" power
scheme, but it's not the best solution.
The mobile Athlon XP don't use the PowerNow to
regulate it's clock speed.
Help please... :-)
Re: Strange notebook standby problem
I'm seeing that also "Home/Office Desk" scheme is not safe,
because it enable PowerNow when running on battery.
When PowerNow is enabled the standby can fail.
When PowerNow is disabled the standby run ok.
Also if this can be an indirect cause.
I think you are right...
The best solution is to disable standby and use instead hibernation.
So, the CPU can adjust the clock and system run more
cool and silent.
