Sure, just order an English keyboard form Sony, and buy an English
version of Vista. Keyboards aren't that tough to change out.

*If* you are in the US or Canada, you can possibly purchase a new
keyboard from /

I have purchased several components to keep my Vaio notebooks alive,
including keyboards.

Vista should modify its keyboard according to your selection of the
native language, i.e., German to [British, American, Canadian]English.

ok. thanks. keyboard, i can change. But a new Vista costs 40% of the
laptop's cost !
i have no option but to reformat and install Win2K. Does Win2K support the
Dual Core 2 processor and advantage of 64 bit  cores ?

Yes, it supports dual core. No it does not support 64 bit. BUT, all
the 64 bit processors are 100% compatible with 32 bit code, it won't
be a problem.  You may have an issue with drivers.
