I have a Sony Vaio PCG-R505ECP notebook with Windows XP Service Pack 2
tonight, I had my laptop docked on my desk, when I flicked the undock
button, the screeen
flickered (as usual) and I pulled my computer off the dock (I realized
later as I was
walking away from my desk that I had pulled it off a little soon, as
windows had not given
me the popup bubble telling me it was ok to undock (which it gave me at
that time)). About
5 minutes later, the wireless suddenly stopped working (disconnecting
and not reconnecting). I went to the Windows XP Wireless
Zero Config and tried to reconnect to my network, at that point it
displayed the "waiting
for network" dialog box and just seemed to hang up. I tried clicking
cancel, and with no
luck, just decided to kill the computer. I rebooted, the wireless
seemed to work ok for
about 5 minutes, then it did the same thing again. I rebooted, went
and watched South Park,
came back and it was doing the same stupid thing, which leads to my
posting here. I really
need the laptop (wireless funtional and all).
I don't think anything was damaged hardware wise, (but I
didn't think this really fit into the software forum, so that's why I
posted to this forum).
Thanks in advance to anyone who can give me any bit of help!
