of things. I am happy to report that the CD-ROM can be replaced by most
DVD-ROMs. I chose a Toshiba. It will play movies with only occasional
frame drops. It also accepted a 20GB hard drive partitioned in halves.
I haven't tried it yet but I've been told a Sony Vaio PII 400 processor
will work. I also installed a new PC card NIC which Sony couldn't tell
me would work. What a poor excuse for tech support. If their objective
is to get people to buy a new product, it might work. It just won't be
