I have a Sony Vaio laptop VGN-S5HP/B.
When I press the power button, the power and battery LEDs flash then
go off. The WLAN light flash as well. The computer won't start then...
I have removed the battery and tried with the adapter only but the
same occurs. I even changed th RAM but nothing works.
Any help is appreciated

This is known as a bricked computer. This isn't a good sign at all. One
thing one normally tries at this point is to remove the battery, remove
the AC. Then press and hold the power button in for like 30 seconds. Now
plug it in and see if it starts up now?
If you have a reset button (I don't know if the Sony Vaio does or not).
Then do the same above with the exception of pressing the power button,
press the reset instead.
If the above fails, many will try to reflash the BIOS. Although I don't
normally recommend this until all other options have been tried. As a
reprogrammed BIOS gone wrong can give you a permanently bricked
computer. Good luck!
