computer intermittently started crashing and failing to reboot for hours.
("Crash analysis" says RAM, CPU problems.) I average about 45 minutes
holding time to reach Sony. Last Thurs, they tell me they're overnighting me
a box to ship it back for repair. Monday nite, still no box, and on hold now
for well over 90 minutes and counting.
I was a loyal Sony customer and paid the extra money because their products
are pretty cool and because I deluded myself into thinking the extra money
meant better reliability. I also discounted the stories about its shitty
support but now see that they were well founded, at least in my case.
