I have evo n800c
My main display is plugged off and my only display is
through VGA port.

On this display if i go beyond 1024*780 resolution then i only see a
partial view of my windows (XP). to see other part i have to take my
mouse near edges of visible screen and then it scrolls to show that

if i run windows XP in safe mode then i have no issues.. it shows me
full screen even when i go on higher resolutions.. Any idea what can be
the problem..

Re: seocndary display partially shown

If you are using a CRT (not an LCD) then you can usually adjust them using
the buttons or dials on front of the screen.  Also, adjustments can
sometimes be used with display drivers to shift shrink or expand the image.

The "virtual resolution" wherein you must scroll to see the entire
display is a function of the video card in the laptop. The only solution
is to back down the laptop video resolution until the display fills
entirely without any scrolling required.
