white lie" they then were checking the computer with the power and
black screen and such and told us that they'd be sending it to Cali
to the Sony company to get it repaired. Here's what im afraid
of..even though they sent it there.when they open it, would they see
water damage? cuz it's been a week and I honestly think its dried out
cuz I did all I could to make sure of that..Im just hoping they fix it
no matter what, and that I get it back soon. They said I'd get it sent
to my house repaired or replaced by November 20th. *crosses fingers*
Re: laptop won't turn on due to spill
Well, now, please let us know what happened. Even if it is not exactly
fair, you tried and do not stand to lose anything. Not that I condone
this behavior, but in your shoes, I might have done the same. If the
local store had attempted to repair it, they might have looked the other
way when seeing the cause of the damage and just fixed it. With Sony, it
probably will be a different story ... Still, let us know please. BTW,
have you contacted your home insurance to see to what extent they might
cover the damage? Do not say it happened long ago, just a day or two.
Some companies might cover the damage after a deductible.
