The inverter is easy enough to replace, but is there any way to know for
sure that it what the problem is?
It is probably worth the $70 the new part costs to make it work, but I hate
the idea of spending the $70 and then finding out that wasn't the problem.
Any idea what the voltage is before and after the inverter? I could always
check the present one to see if it is right.
"Inverter" implies it is AC before and DC after; is that right? (I am not
sure why there would be AC in a battery powered computer, but perhaps they
need AC to step up the voltage...)
