Long story short: I go to my usual Electronics Chain to purchase RAM to upgrade
a newly acquired Inspiron 9100 from 512 to a Gig; he puts the model through the
stores computer, and says that the RAM for the Inspiron is a bit different from
the RAM used by most other brands. He didnt seem sure of this, but I know there
are people here who are:
What type of RAM, exactly, is needed for this?
I'm not sure if he was talking about a specific model of RAM, or that it
required a chip with a different speed that is used with my previous notebooks.
Or maybe I had a salesman who was better suited for the DVD department.
The experts are here; help!
