$199. Honest 138W/channel RMS, continuous duty into 8 ohms.
I think this German unit also switches AC line voltages
Hard to beat Behringer at this price point. ZZounds is a solid supplier,
too. I've dealt with them for many years. First class service.
Behringer called my music electronics business to see if I'd go fix an
electronic grand piano a local discount store (Costco) sold them. We
agreed on my service rate and they simply shipped me the whole electronics
system inside the grand before ever laying eyes on it. I showed up at
their customer's home, figured out what was wrong and fixed it at the
component level, instead of swapping out the whole power supply/audio amp
they'd sent me. Customer was thrilled it was working 30 minutes after I
arrived and told Behringer I was a genius.
I tried to ship the unused parts back to them as the main computer board is
quite expensive, a first class piece of art. "Just keep them as we might
want you to go fix other units later." I still have them. That's the kind
of service Behringer gives...
