I have hp nx5000 laptop. The usb ports and my cd-rom is not working and
i want to install new system to this notebook. To do this i tried to
1 - ) i connect the hard drive of notebook (with a small aparat) to
desktop and i installed win2003 then i connect it to notebook back.
When it is opening with this system every time booting it crashed just
after starting boot. So this way is not seems work.
then i tried second way :)
2 - ) i connected the hdd to the desktop and formatted it with win98
boot floppy disk then i do (format c: /s) this command in order to make
this hdd self bootable. I checked this hdd on my desktop and worked
fine. booted and "C:\" came normally. But when i connected this hdd to
the notebook, the notebook bios says "invalid system disk" it couldn't
recognize my win98 boot-up. Why win98 boot disk can not recognized on
my laptop i don't know, it's bios is not standart bios i think :(
Now, i'm confused, i don't want to buy a new laptop cd-rom, i think
there must be a way :) Is there any people who can help me, because i
don't know what should i do.
