NVDIA GeForce Go 7300 External 128MB VRAM
is External VRAM good? What does this mean? Is it slower or faster
Here you can see the specs of the laptop
or am I better buying an Asus a6jc-Q147H ? This has the Same specs but
without External VRAM and it doesn't have SATA Harddisk.
Re: NVDIA GeForce Go 7300 External 128MB VRAM
VRAM is special-purpose memory used by video adapters. Unlike conventional
RAM, VRAM can be accessed by two different devices simultaneously. This
enables the RAMDAC to access the VRAM for screen updates at the same time
that the video processor provides new data. VRAM yields better graphics
performance but is more expensive than normal RAM.. "from webopedia".
so yes VRAM will get you better video performance. Basically it has its own
RAM, not sharing from your system RAM.
