There is a compartment on the backside next to the ram compartment and about
the same size. There is a single slot (nothing in mine) where a chip module
can be installed.
Does anyone know what this second compartment is for? I have zero docs or
manuals for this machine (a gift).
There is also a slot covered by a rubber plug (approx. 1.5" x 1/4") and this
slot has some type of chip in it also. Any idea what this slot/chip is.
This machine does not have built-in WiFi, but the (PCIMIA?) WiFi card works
well, as does the onboard Ethernet.
in advance. . .thanks to all.
Re: Need info
I am not familiar with PCIe, I would really appreciate it if you would be so
kind to clue me in. I am hoping maybe there are WiFi modules that would fit
The slot is just a bit shorter than the slot for the DDR2 ram modules.
Looks like the same type of hardward to hold the module. . . . chas.
No idea about the rubber plug slot...the other is most likely PCIe
