I have an Acer 1522 WLMi Laptop and recently i accidentally stood on it
and the screen broke making it unuseable. I have since found out that I
can get it to display on an external monitor with a VGA cable i think
(the dark blue one with 15 pins.) I've tried ths method with the
function key and F5 which switches the monitor display. It works fine
until i get to the sign on screen, it just reverts to the laptop
display and the screen is broke so i can't see anything. So far i've
tested it on a Proveiw Monitor which is set to 1024x768 and an Acer
monitor which is set to 1280x1024,, both proved unsucessful =[[ If
anone can help me with this it'd be a great help since there are files
on there that are special to me.
Re: My Acer laptop Won't Switch monitors (well it does but reverst afer some time)
If all you want to do is recover the files on the system, pull the HD,
install it in an external USB 2.0 housing, connect it to whatever computer
you're presently using and either copy the files to a HD or burn them to a
CD or DVD.
