Making the Acer bluetooth button work?

Just bought a new Acer Aspire (5502ZWMXi), which has a button for activating
bluetooth in front. However, this model has no bluetooth. I inserted a
PCMCIA bluetooth card, which works fine and would like the button to
activate and deactivate this bluetooth card. Does anyone know how to do
this? Or is it really a hardware button?

Another option would be to find the bluetooth module for this notebook. Acer
says they can built it in for 200 euro, which I find to much. Has anyone
experiences with this?

Thanx a lot in advance,

I have the Acer Aspire 3002LCi, which does not include the bluetooth
option.  However the manuals state bluetooth can be enabled by inserting a
proprietary add-on board to enable this built-in capability. The button
appears to hard wired to only enable/disable that add-on board. I would
suspect your Acer laptop would be setup in the same manner.  I doubt you
will be able to use that button to enable/disable an 3rd party bluetooth

I hope this helps...
