I have quite a wierd problem!  I have an acer 2100i travelmate laptop
which was working fine up till a couple weeks ago.  The problem is that
the laptop will no longer run off mains power!  When the laptop is
turned off then it charges fine but when i turn it on the light goes
off and it simply stops drawing power from the mains!  Does this sound
like a problem with the power supply or the laptop?  Please help, i am
currently stuck in an endless loop of charging/using/charging!!! Cheers

I'd say its a problem with the main board, specifically the part that
controlls what power goes where when the system turns on.

Could be a bad power adapter or a bad mainboard.  I'd either buy
another power adapter and see if the problem continues or pay a shop
to diagnose it.
