had this same problem too but I still couldn't figure it out.
I have a 7020 CT with the Desk Station V+ docking station. The 7020 CT
has hard drive of course and a dvd drive. However, I want to install a
CDrw drive to the docking station's 5 1/4 slot but the system does not
recognize the drive. I'm using Win98.
I think the select bay (floppy disk drive) can not be present if I
wanted to use the 5 1/4 bay, right? But is there still too many IDE
drives present? I thought there should only be 2 IDE's present and now
there's 3: DVD, harddrive, cdrw. Is this combination impossible?
Is there any way to get the system to recognize the cdrw? I've put the
cdrw as master in the docking bay. Should the dvd in the laptop be as
master or slave or does it even matter? Please help!
