I need to open up an IBM Thinkpad T40 to try and diagnose a problem
with boot up. My daughter spilled something on the keyboard and now it
won't boot up. Can anyone provide the right steps to open up the case?
I want top try to dry out/un-stick anything that might not be

I don't want to do something in the wrong order.

I spilled just a few drops on my T40 and it was a new motherboard (and
more).  Luckily they did it at the tail end of the 3 year warranty.
Make sure your warranty is expired before you dive in.
