I have got such a beauty... and it worked until the batteries (3!)
died, and I replaced them.
Now, when booting I get:
code 161 and 163, the it asks for F1
Then I get:
The IBM personal computer Basic, 1981...
AFAIK, it should read some BIOS from the HD - and it need to be set
up, probably by a floppy with the BIOS or BIOS setup....
Can anyone tell me a bit more?
I'd like to keep this thing alive... :)
Re: IBM PS/2 model L40SX Options
Someone at ibm.thinpad.pc suggested http://hpholm.dk/L40SX.html
I used that and I got it to work, that is the other part from that
I have got it to work, time is set, but I get an 1780 error
Next, when testing it, I get 148 (have it serviced) and 1704 errors
- the latter one probably something with the HD.
If you have any ideas, please inform me.
I'll try more later.
Any help apricited
