- HP Pavilion dv6000: Ad-Hoc doesn't work

Recently I have bought a notebook (the type like in the title). I use
WinXp SP2 (after Vista). My problem concerns misfunctioning Ad-Hoc mode.
There is a little network in my home containig 3 computers: two
notebooks (HP and Aristo) and one desktop which shares the Internet. HP
has bad pings or exceeds requested time while Aristo pings normally
(about 1-10 ms). I have noticed that HP's pings are standard since about
12:00 p.m. What's the reason of this occurence?
Thanks in advance.
Re: HP Pavilion dv6000: Ad-Hoc doesn't work
First, ad-hoc mode is inappropriate for a dedicated network.
Infrastructure mode with security is appropriate for a dedicated
network. In ad-hoc mode, your wireless can connect with just about any
network; anybody can connect to your network. In fact, your HP notebook
might not be connecting to your wireless network at all.
