I've finally narrowed my search for a new Media Center Notebook down
to a few Hewlett-Packard Pavilion DV8000-series untis, but must now
choose between two graphics packages, neither of which I have any
substantive experience with and/or preference for. So, I'd greatly
appreciate any input you'd care to share on this whole graphics issue!
All of the laptops I'm considering feature 17.0" WXGA+ screens. All
are also high-definition, BrightView, WideScreen displays (1440 x 900).
One such laptop has ATI Radeon Xpress 200M IGP graphics while others
have nVidia GeForce Go 7400 graphics. So, I guess what I'd really like
to know is if one graphics product - that is, ATI Radeon or nVidia
GeForce - is actually "better" in some way than the other?
I know that this query is inherently subjective, but if you have any
practical knowledge and/or experience with these graphics types, then
I'd love to hear back from you so that I may optimize the choice best
suited to my needs.
Thanks in advance for your time and consideration. Have A Great Day!
