I'm searching for a laptop computer to allow me to work with video and photo
editing. I've been looking at Dells and noticed the graphics card as Intel
HD Graphics 3000, 4000, etc. I'm told these cards are part of the mother
board (Integrated) as opposed to a graphics card such as Nvidia which is
separate. Therefore, I'm wondering if one is better than the other and why
it would make a difference.

Thank you for any input.

Re: Graphic card info

A separate video card usually offers more graphics processing power than
an 'integrated/on-board' graphics chip. But for video editing, the cpu
does most of the work. Your best bet would be either an Intel i7 2600k
or i7 3770k cpu, or, an AMD A-8 3870k or FX 8120 cpu.
