flimsy touchpad on Dell laptops?

Does anyone know of any other laptop which has similar (or better) specs as
the Dell Inspiron 6400 (Inspiron e5105) but it has sturdier, more stable
touchpad (right & left mouse-click areas)? The touchpad on my laptop is
flimsy and toy-like in physical structure, especially the 2 pieces of
plastic making up the right and left mouse-click areas on the touchpad. I
was hoping to exchange it for different model with a more stable touchpad
but A Dell rep I just spoke to told me that all Dell models got the same
kind of touchpads. My price range is within $800. Thank you.
