Docking Station Question

I've got a Pavilion ze4900 that I bought about a year ago.  Yesterday,
the power jack in the back came loose - it seems that it needs to be
resodered to the board (or possibly replaced),

Can I use a docking station to provide power to the notebook/charge the
battery as an interm solution before either having the thing repaired
or replaced?

Further, would this one work:

It appears to be the only model locally locally (without forcing me
downtown on a Saturday afternoon) in stock.

Yes, but it must be a docking station from the laptop vendor, as it'll
need to connect to the docking port to supply power.

No, this only adds some ports via USB, it doesn't connect to the
docking port on the (back, bottom) of your laptop, and can't charge or
operate the laptop.

You'll be amazed at the prices of "real" docking stations, you might
want to check eBay or get your laptop repaired or replaced...
