Threaded View

Just inheritated of this beast, and I am having lots of problems even just
trying to use it. XP SP2 is installed.

1. Audio does not work. I get the mysterious message "Driver is enabled nut
not started" in Device Manager (!!)

2. Wireless does not work either, says "No interface", although the driver
does look fine in Device Manager.

3. (worst problem by far) I tried installing some Creative's software for
MP3 player and since then... I cannot even logon in normal mode! After
typing username and password, the laptop will just freezes. The login window
stays on screen, it's like it is waiting for something (network connection?)
forever... Only way to stop that is power-off button (ctrl+alt+del not
working). I have tried uninstalling Creative, but this did not solve the
problem. Note I can logon in safe Mode with no problem. Note also that I
tried removing the battery and putting it back: login worked afterwards!!!
But then the login after had the same problem again...

Thanks in advance for your help and suggestions... This is my first Dell and
probably the last :(

Re: Dell Latitude D600

go to and look up the drivers you need.
You may have to do a clean install of the OS.
